Just a little background on my makeup and skincare purchasing habits before I delve into all that is Glossier. I am a proud member of Sephora's VIB program, I purchase make-up skincare products almost every week. If really want to know how crazy I am, I once watched Kim Kardashian's Snapchat story and saw what highlighter she used and went out and bought it the next day.

It happens to the best of us.

Sometimes, I hesitate to even leave the house without a dab of concealer and a swipe of mascara. TMI ahead...I've always had sensitive skin and if a pimple appeared I'd pick at it until there was nothing left to pick at. Gross I know, but we all do it. This has resulted in a lifelong battle with blemishes and uneven skin tone. So taking care of my skin has become a priority the older I get. What attracted me to Glossier was not just the awesome packaging, but the slogan of skincare first, makeup second. It's so true. If you take care of your skin then there's no need for a ton of make-up. It's the perfect solution for all of us low maintenance peeps (haha lies, I've never been called low maintenance once ever in my life >insert crying laughing emoji<)

I opted for the Coconut Balm Dotcom instead of the Balm Dotcom. It was a smart choice if I don't say so myself. It's super moisturizing and the coconut scent is subtle.
I don't usually have to reapply more than once a day.

The Milky Jelly Cleanser is pretty unimpressive when you first look at it. I started at the milky white goop in my hand for a little bit and was a little off put by the smell. However, smell aside this is seriously the best cleanser that I have ever used hands downs. You can use it on wet or dry skin. I've struggled to find something that takes all my eye makeup off and this works so well. What I like about the Priming Moisturizer is that it's basically two products in one. If you want to use it as a primer just use a little more.

Perfecting Skin Tint // Priming Moisturizer

I got the Perfecting Skin Tint in Dark and it matches my skin p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y. I was a little uncertain of it at first because the consistency is a littler watery, I was wrong. The finish is lovely! The first time I used a Beauty Blender to apply and it ended up soaked up too much of the product. I suggest a stippling brush or just your fingers. Cannot wait to add this to my summer makeup regime.

Basically, what I'm saying is that Glossier is amazing, inexpensive and totally worth it. I cannot wait to try Phase 2. Finally to the best part! You can use this Glossier coupon / promo link for 20% off your next purchase!

If there's one trend that you have to get on board with this season, it's the tassel earring.

I normally keep my jewelry pretty minimal, but I've seen so many people this season with the tassel earring and I have been getting a case of style envy.

If you are looking for a more budget-friendly pair, I just ordered 2 pairs of these earrings off Etsy! Only $10 and you can fully customize them at no extra charge.

I'm a social person that enjoys her time alone, but still wants to be social.. if that makes sense? I told a friend the other day that my favorite types of hangouts are when I don't have to participate in the conversation and can just sit back and take everything in. (Don't judge.) Preferably with a glass of wine in hand.

That's why I love listening to podcasts. Having people chat away about interesting topics and just having the luxury of being a avid listener.

I like to listen to podcasts while getting ready in the morning and getting ready for bed in the evening. It's also a great way to unwind.

Some of my favorite podcasts right now are...

Garance Dore's Pardon My French

We all know Garance as a wonderful illustrator and photographer! This wonderful podcast is truly a treat! Interviews with everyone from Zosie Mamet to Emily Mortimer. Listening to this podcast is like sitting in on a conversation with your best friends. Topics include everything from dating, running a business and life in general. One of my favorite bits of this podcast is that Garance's friends all come from different backgrounds and countries so the cultural take on each topic is really interesting.

Black Tapes

Honest confession and I am a little embarrassed to admit this but I was about 3 episodes in until I realized that this was a not real. Stemming from another popular podcast, this one documents a reporter Alex Regan's encounters with the paranormal. It includes a handsome Dr. Strand with a mysterious past, a missing wife and a set of black tapes. Without giving away too much you have plenty of time to catch up because it's currently on hiatus.

Lastly,

Masterpiece Studio

If you love watching Masterpiece and Masterpiece Mystery on PBS then you will love this companion podcast. The podcast recaps episodes often inviting the actors from the episodes to provide commentary and behind the scenes bits. It's was extra nice during the series finale of Downton Abbey, made the season last a little bit longer in my opinion. Still not over Downton Abbey ending.
